Well then, cheers: Music events in the senior citizens' home even in Corona times.

In the second week of May, I had the pleasure of organising another lively courtyard concert at the Justina von Cronstetten Stift in Frankfurt. Even though the weather was not at its best, the director of the home, Michael Graber-Dünow, remains inventive, as it is a great ambition of his to bring cultural stimuli to the residents even during the pandemic.
The violinist played in the courtyard. Inside in the hall were the residents. I was clearly visible through the large windows overlooking the courtyard, and the sound was transmitted into the hall via the microphone system. Also my comments were transmitted. In that way, despite the 'modest temperatures' outside and in conformity with Corona regulations, the courtyard concert could be realised. This time, the May-Cocktail was accompanied by lively melodies of the 50s and 60s, which brought many memories to the listeners and one could observe the bobbing and singing along through the windows. I wish you a healthy and happy new year. Many thanks to the initiators for making the events possible in this special past year. And a heartfelt greeting especially to the bridal couples who were not able to hold their planned wedding in the desired form or even had to postpone it. We hope, of course, that the new year will be somewhat different.

The weather should be fine again. The courtyard is idyllic and special...ideal conditions for a relaxed coffee house afternoon with appropriate tea house music. A little bit of Vienna, a little bit of 'Schlager', a little bit of light classical music and evergreens... and maybe one or the other spontaneous requested melody from movies and musicals, or even a current hit. Like in May, there will now be another garden concert at the ASB care homeWohnen & Pflege in Karben (see report below). The first part will take place in front of the entrance again, and onlookers are welcome to attend

This Wednesday May 20th at 16:00 there is a garden concert with the violinist for the ASB care home, a cheerful concert with evergreens, hits and Viennese melodies.
The residents are either at the windows and balconies or come out into the garden / forecourt. Strict attention is paid to the corona distance.

As I was told by the house, ‚fence guests‘ have been 'spotted' at other garden concerts and I can announce the concert. So if you are nearby, you are welcome to listen. But please: keep your distance and bring your mouth-nose mask with you for safety. Please do not put the residents and care staff in unnecessary danger and stay at a more than necessary distance. So please do not join the residents (even if they would be happy). But a friendly wave to the residents at the window is certainly allowed :-)

There will surely be a revival of the 1920s hits. Of course I have a lot of hits and jazz pieces from the 1920s in my program. And of course I will pick the most beautiful melodies from the current 2020 charts.

Monday, December 23, 2019. The most beautiful little Christmas market in the courtyard of 'apple core and hummingbird' is being prolonged. On December 23, 2019 it brings you in the mood for the season holidays. Martin the Violinist will play jazz, folk, classical and pop from 6 p.m. Of course this evening with the appropriate Christmas twist :-)

As in the past 2 years, Martin the violinist will play at the coffee hour in the salon of the Max Grundig Klinik Bühlerhöhe from 2 p.m. The unique atmosphere of this market on the heights of the Northern Black Forest inspires every year. Both in the atrium of the building and on the square in front of it in this special Black Forest location.

Saturday, October 19, 2019. The Hessischer Hof celebrates 115 years of family ownership in the fourth generation. This is a special occasion that is celebrated with a 'culinary journey through time'. The different courses from the time of the respective generation are also accompanied musically.
